Storage and Removals – FAQ’s

We’ve collated a list of the most common questions we get asked, if you have a query that isn’t covered here please get in touch.

1. Do I need to use both storage and removals?

No. We offer a combined service to make complex moves as easy as possible, but we also welcome enquiries from people who are looking for storage only or removals only. 

2. Can I store furniture on a short term basis while I wait for my new home to be ready?

Absolutely, we cater for both short and long term and our minimum charge period is just two weeks. 

3. What size are the storage rooms?

We have storage facilities from a 9ft square locker to the size of a mini warehouse and every size in between. We can help you to work out how much space you need. 

4. How far in advance do I need to book for removals and storage?

There’s no hard or fast rules – but provide as much notice as you can – especially at peak times. That said, always get in touch and we will try our best to accommodate you, even if its last minute. 

5. How do I get a quotation for removals and/or storage?

Call on 0121 384 8608 or email us using the form on our contact page or direct to info@suttoncoldfieldremovalsandstorage.co.uk. We will arrange for an estimator to visit and carry out a pre-move survey. They will then provide you with a detailed quotation – free of charge with no obligation. 

Alternatively, where necessary such as for long distance enquiries we can provide you with a questionnaire and subsequent quotation. 

6. How do I know how many boxes I need?

We will loan you removal boxes and wardrobe cartons for FREE when you use both services, we’ll also supply blankets to wrap your furniture during removal. If you are just using one service we can help you calculate your requirements – just ask and our friendly team will do their best to help. 

7. Can you help with packing?

Yes! We offer a comprehensive packing service and can even dispose of your unwanted items. 

8. Why should I consider a packing, removal and storage combined service? 

Our combination service is ideal when you need a little extra help, or when you find yourself in a situation where you aren’t moving everything on the same day, or need time to go through belongings. If your move isn’t straightforward then the last thing you want is to have to co-ordinate 3 separate companies to carry out the 3 different tasks. One point of contact can sort all of your arrangements and save you the stress.
